Al-Riyadh 0-3 Al-Hilal: Mitrovic double sends hosts top

Al-Hilal moved to the summit of the Saudi Pro League after a 3-0 win at Al-Riyadh on Monday night.

Mitrovic double does the damage

Aleksandar Mitrovic scored twice in the first half to put Al-Hilal in control of the game. The Serbian striker opened the scoring in the 10th minute with a fine header from a cross by Salem Al-Dawsari.

He doubled his tally in the 25th minute with a close-range finish after being set up by Andre Carrillo.

Al-Hilal wrapped up the victory in the second half when Carrillo scored his first goal for the club since joining from Benfica in January.

The Peruvian winger fired home from the edge of the area in the 65th minute to make it 3-0.

The win takes Al-Hilal top of the table with 37 points from 16 games, two points ahead of Al-Nassr.

Al-Riyadh remain in 10th place with 18 points from 16 games.
