Early Life and College Career

Christian Donald Laettner (born August 17, 1969) is a former professional basketball player. His college career at Duke University was highly successful, as he helped the team reach four Final Fours and win two national championships. Laettner's game-winning shot against Kentucky in the 1992 NCAA tournament is considered one of the most iconic moments in college basketball history.

NBA Career and Retirement

Laettner was selected third overall in the 1992 NBA Draft by the Minnesota Timberwolves. He played for several teams during his 13-year NBA career, including the Atlanta Hawks, Philadelphia 76ers, and Detroit Pistons. Laettner never achieved the same level of success in the NBA as he did in college but remained a valuable contributor to his teams.

Legacy and Honors

Laettner is widely considered one of the greatest college basketball players of all time. He was named to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2010.
